Fiscal Year 2014 - 2016 (July 1, 2014, through June, 30 2016)
The Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) brings together the essence of the five most important functions of the MPO Transportation Planning Process:
To be the body responsible for the critical transportation planning and programming decisions affecting its planning region.
To adopt, maintain, and update a financially constrained and conforming Long-Range Transportation Plan that includes all projects that the region anticipates undertaking over the next 20 to 25 years.
To update, adopt, and administer a four-year Transportation Improvement Program that includes those projects and phases that will be implemented in the next four years.
To develop, adopt, and carry out a work program that supports a continuing, cooperative, and comprehensive transportation planning process that addresses the MPO’s most important functions.
To provide for full public participation throughout the planning process to ensure that all views are heard and considered affecting transportation plans, projects, operations, and their impact.
